Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, Charles and Camilla, spent three days in Jamaica in March 2008. On hand to welcome them was our very own Judy McCluskey, as can be seen in the photo above!

Judy is on Royal duty again this year, as Spanish King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia will pay a two-day state visit to Jamaica from February 17-18.

Spain is now the second largest investor in the Latin American and Caribbean region. In Jamaica, Spanish hotel groups have invested approximately US$800 million in resort developments along Jamaica’s north coast since 2001. Notable Spanish hotel chains operating in Jamaica include RIU, Iberostar, Fiesta and Bahia Principe.

Prince Charles tried his hand at the bongo drums during an impromptu jam session in Jamaica. Charles and Camilla attempted to find some rhythm at the Bob Marley museum.
