Hotels in Ireland offer value and ease
According to Hotels.com’s hotel price index, hotels in Ireland dropped in price by 26% in the first half of 2009 compared to 2008, the largest drop for any destination in Europe. With Ireland’s easy travelling distance from the UK and high quality of venues this firmly places Ireland as a superb choice for business travel decision makers.
Ireland is number one
Ireland was recently voted the number one destination in the C&IT magazine Corporate Planner’s Survey 2009. Research also found that many people view Ireland as an ideal location for business events because of its beauty, its closeness to the UK, the quality of its venues and the friendliness of its people.
Kate Crossman, Business Tourism Executive at Tourism Ireland says, “Ireland is starting to emerge as a destination of choice for businesses. It is easy to reach, serviced by several low cost airlines and, its friendly people and cultural heritage is renowned worldwide. People are beginning to realise Ireland presents a great value alternative overseas destination for businesses, especially in these difficult economic times.”
“Given the impact the recession is having on businesses, we wanted to make it easier for people to find the best deals quickly and easily. Ireland Means Business offers easily searchable high quality venues that will appeal to budget conscious business customers who refuse to compromise on quality.”
The campaign is also being supported by a MICE direct marketing campaign to entice people to the new website.
